13 New Romances to Finish Out 2025

The end of the year feels full-to-bursting with incredible new releases in the world of romance and romantasy. From new Ali Hazelwood to the highly-anticipated sequel to Quicksilver, there are some can’t-miss releases hitting shelves. Over here at Sundae Kind of Love, I’m absolutely salivating over these titles, and I’m pretty sure you will be, too.

Mate, Ali Hazelwood

October 7

Whether you’re into monster smut or not, Ali Hazelwood’s Bride was a major moment for the romance scene. The novel marked Hazelwood’s first foray into the fantastic, and readers devoured it! With Mate, Hazelwood returns to the world of the Weres and Vampyres and all the knotty fun that brings.

It’s looking like this Bride sequel won’t directly deal with characters from the first book, but it’s set to be just as steamy and sexy. Mate follows Serena Paris, an orphaned, packless, human-Were hybrid, and Koen Alexander, an Alpha that can help to keep her safe. You already know there’s going to be so much tension, lots of drama, and plenty of mind meltingly steamy scenes.

Predicted spice level:

All of Us Murders, K.J. Charles

October 7

The internet darling and author of The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting, K.J. Charles is embracing the Gothic in her latest novel. Known for her LGBTQ+ romances, Charles plays with elements of classic horror in this new release.

All of Us Murderers follows two “warring lovers” who have to set aside their differences and work together. The novel looks spooky, steamy, and perfect for a suspenseful fall read.

Predicted spice level:

Willing Prey, Allie Oleander

October 7

Newcomer Allie Oleander tackles primal play in her debut novel. Looking for something that really tickles your spicy funny bone? Willing Prey might be just what you need. I’m not too sure just how spicy this one will be, but I’m pretty excited about it!

Willing Prey is definitely for the dark romance lovers out there, but doesn’t seem like it comes with an abundance of trigger warnings. The novel follows Claire Collins, a recent divorcee with loads of student debt, and the wealthy Shane Underwood who’s willing to pay Claire for one simple thing — being prey.

Predicted spice level:

Thirsty, Lucy Lehane

October 14

Author of Love, Hate, and Clickbait delivers up paranomal delights, comedy, and steamy romance in her sophomore novel. The novel comes just in time for spooky season!

The campy romance follows Charlie, a human advice columnist who’s clueless about dating the dead, and Lorenzo, a vampire he used to know who’s got an axe to grind. It’s safe to assume that hijinks are going to ensue and that there will be a few sizzling scenes.

Predicted spice level:

Good Spirits, B.K. Borison

October 21

Pretty much everyone in the Bookish world has heard of internet sensation First-Time Caller, B.K. Borison’s viral novel. Borison’s Lovelight series is a beloved classic in the romance world and this first installation in her newest series, Ghosted, is set to be as incredible as her last.

Good Spirits follows Nolan Callahan, the Ghost of Christmas Past, as he haunts Harriet York. Harriet doesn’t feel like she should be haunted, but the more she and Nolan dig into her past, the more it seems they’re connected. Now, I’m not quite sure what sort of romance there can be between a ghost and a human, but I’m definitely willing to buy into it!

Predicted spice level:

The Devil She Knows, Alexandria Bellefleur

October 21

Author of BookTok-favorite series, Written in the Stars, Alexandria Bellefleur brings us a spicy, sapphic story that’s perfect for spooky season. Bellefleur’s steamy scenes have left readers begging for more, and this latest novel promises to do the same.

Recently single Samantha Cooper finds herself trapped in an elevator with a stunning woman who claims to be a demon. That’s how The Devil She Knows kicks off, which means you know it’s going to be good! To get her ex-girlfriend back, Samantha takes Daphne up on her offer of six wishes — all she wants in exchange is Samantha’s soul. But they might both get more than they bargained for.

Predicted spice level:

The Defender, Ana Huang

October 28

BookTok sensation Ana Huang is back with a much-anticipated second installment in her viral series, Gods of the Game. Huang is known for her spicy, steamy scenes and the slightly dark edge to her writing.

Sports nutritionist Brooklyn Armstrong is the daughter of a legendary coach who finds herself sleeping in the room right across from Vincent DuBois, the captain of the Blackcastle Football Club. No big deal, right? Except Brooklyn’s dad is the coach of the BFC, and Vincent doesn’t think he can resist her when she’s so close.

Predicted spice level:

Bonds of Hercules, Jasmine Mas

October 28

Fans have been ravenous for Jasmine Mas’ sequel to the internet sensation, Blood of Hercules. The first novel was an almost instant New York Times Bestseller that launched Mas’ into the BookTok stratosphere.

Bonds of Hercules sees readers back with Alexis Hert and her time at the Spartan War Academy. There are so many thingshappening in this book, and I can’t write too much without giving away the first, but suffice it to say — the sequel is set to be just as steamy and even more exciting as Alexis works to understand her powers and the men she’s tied to.

Predicted spice level:

Our Viscious Oaths, N.E. Davenport

October 28

N.E. Davenport shifts from sci-fi Young Adult with her Blood Gift duology into a romantasy series that’s far more mature. BookTokers who have recieved ARCs for this have been raving, and I’m pretty sure the hype is going to be well worth it!

If you’re a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers trope and you love to immerse yourself in the world of the fae, Our Vicious Oaths is for you. The novel follows fae princess and warrior Kadeesha and Malachi, a “vengeful king” from a rival court as they work together to take down the High King. But can they work together without succumbing to the growing tension between them?

Predicted spice level:

The Marriage Narrative, Claire Kann

November 11

Claire Kann hasn’t gone viral yet, but I think she should! Not only is she a brilliant author of color, but she’s also an author who’s unafraid to put an asexual character front and center (like in her novel The Romantic Agenda).

The Marriage Narrative, Kann’s latest tale plays with a favorite trope of mine — marriage of convenience (or necessity?). Zinnia is a savvy businesswoman who is ready to settle down. She’s transformed her dating profile into a marriage merger though her friends don’t think she’ll have much luck. And then she meets Jordan. Jordan’s part of a reality TV family, and he’s ready to join the family business, but his producers want him to marry his ex to boost ratings. Zinnia and Jordan realize they can help each other out, but will the chemsitry they feel complicate things?

Predicted spice level:

Brimstone, Callie Hart

November 18

The internet went absolutely wild for Quicksilver, the explosive first installment in Callie Hart’s Fae & Alchemy series. Stepping in to fill the romantasy gap so many readers felt after finishing A Court of Thorns and Roses and Fourth WingQuicksilver debuted a whole new world of fae, intrigue, magic, and steaming hot spicy scenes.

MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR QUICKSILVER:

Brimstone picks up where Quicksilver left off. Saeris Fane is the newly crowned queen of the Blood Court. Stuck in her new court, she can’t return home to her brother and must instead send Kingfisher and the infuriating Carrion Swift. Hart isn’t giving much away, which leads me to believe this sequel is going to be packed full of surprises, and I can’t wait!

Predicted spice level:

My Fair Señor, Alana Quintana Albertson

November 25

If you’re on the hunt for a new, continuing series, this is the book for you. The third installment in Alana Quintana Albertson’s viral series, Love & Tacos, is sure to be as steamy and fun as the first two.

Tequila and romance make a fantastic combo in My Fair Señor. Jaime Montez is ready to set out on his own and start his very own liquor brand. The only problem? He doesn’t know what he’s doing, but maybe his former college flame can help. Alma Garcia knows practically all there is to know about agave and tequila and she’s prepared to teach Jaime, but will it lead them to a second chance at romance?

Predicted spice level:

The Mating Game, Lana Ferguson

December 2

No stranger to shape shifters, but a first-timer in the world of werewolves, BookTok sensation Lana Ferguson is pulling out the stops this winter season. If you didn’t read Under Loch and Key and you’re interested in dipping your toe into the world of monster smut, I definitely recommend starting out slow with that title.

Ferguson isn’t pulling any punches in The Mating Game, getting straight into the spice from the jump. Tess Covington is a contractor with a job to do, but that job is threatened to be derailed when she discovers she’s a late-blooming omega shifter. Hunter Barrett is an alpha that has sworn off omegas entirely, but when Tess walks into his failing lodge, determined to get the job done, he’s got a struggle on his hands.
