Can you believe April is right around the corner? It feels like the year has flown by! You already know that a new month means new reads, and these reads are some of the most exciting new releases April has to offer. From fake dating schemes to rivals-turned-lovers, there’s a trope in here for everyone!
Just a little reminder about how we rate our spice levels around these parts. Vanilla is no spice/closed door. Soft serve is a little bit of messin’ around. Sweet heat is one open door scene and some suggestive spice throughout. Hot fudge is really steamy, with no shortage of open door scenes. Spicy sundae is the spiciest of reads — think of the smuttiest reads on your shelf, and you’ve got it.

The Paris Match throws you right into the deep end, and it doesn’t slow down!
Layla is doing the mature thing and staying friends with her ex. Their divorce was amicable, after all. But when her friendship with her ex leads her to attend her ex-sister-in-law’s Parisian wedding, alone, Layla isn’t so sure this was the right decision afterall — especially when her ex isn’t attending alone.
After a discussion about her choices leaves the bride with cold feet, Layla finds herself thrown together with the grumpy best man, Griffin, who seems determined to ensure this wedding happens. Working with Griff to get this wedding back on track, Layla starts to dig into the pain she still feels, and begins to wonder if all that’s between she and Griff is the task they’re tackling.

Relive first love in the best way possible with Unbound.
Paloma isn’t the easiest person to love — she prefers to keep walls up around her, and her trauma buried deep inside, and she works hard to keep it all locked away. Bennett keeps a tight leash on his OCD compulsions and crippling anxiety as best he can, but that requires strict rules and routines. The two were each other’s first loves, and without one another, things seem to have a way of coming unbound as they learn more about what tore them apart to begin with.

A case of mistaken identity. Or… not?
What happens when two people with the same name, both looking for a fresh start, apply for and are offered the job of manager at a quanit little farm shop on the Isle of Ormer? Well, that’s sort of the whole point of The Name Game, so you’ll have to hit “preorder” on this one and find out!

I mean… The name sort of says it all, right?
His FBI brother has gone missing, and her criminal family seems like the logical conclusion.
Krish isn’t the bad boy type, and he certainly has no idea how to be an FBI agent, but he’s going to pretend to be if it means finding his brother. Sejal has spent the last few years laying low, reforming her criminal ways. When the two are thrown together on a high-speed, high-stakes adventure, enemies might just become lovers.

I mean… That cover has me sold already, right? Sexxxxyyyy!
This is described as an “atmospheric romantasy,” and I’m not quite sure what that means, but it sounds like it’s right up my alley. And when you read more and realize our FMC is a badass princess in love with a man who betrayed her kingdom and became a Vampyr, it gets even better.

Fake relationships, lying to a therapist, an abandoned friendship, and so much more await you in this delightful new novel from Kasie West. Sutton gets dumped over the phone, and somehow finds herself in couples therapy with Elijah, a sexy stranger, in order to help her best friend who she abandoned in high school. If you didn’t already know, I’m a big fan of second chance romance, and Cherry Baby is high on my list of “I have to snag this title immediately” for that reason.
One relationship has fallen apart, but another might be rekindling for Cherry. Stuck with her now ex-boyfriend’s dog, a dog she never wanted, and all of the issues just stacking up, all she wants to do is let it all go for a night. She ventures out to go see her favorite band, and someone recognizes her from across the room.

Guys, I’m really just so freaking excited for this one!
In fact, I am so excited about this one that I won’t do it justice. I’m just going to give you the Bookshop.org description!
Thea and Alex have three things in common—they love food, they hate where they live, and they’re both divorced. Otherwise, they couldn’t be more different.
Thea’s never cooked a day in her life. Alex is a world-class chef. Alex resents feeling stuck in his hometown. Thea resents the town for not feeling more like home. Thea and her ex are in a contentious custody battle for their dog. Alex and his ex amicably coparent their daughter. Beyond a few friends in common, a couple small-world connections (welcome to life in a mid-size city), their lives look nothing alike. Fast forward two years, and they’re truly the best of friends. No one would ever know their friendship began as a lie…
Two years ago, their exes got together immediately following their divorces, and somehow, Thea and Alex found themselves spinning a spite-fueled story about being old friends and first loves. Two years later, what began as a ruse has grown into real friendship—just friendship, despite what friends and family seem to think. But when their exes invite them on a two-week, “two family” beach vacation—daughter and dog included—Alex and Thea start to wonder if this story they’ve spun might have gotten away from them, and if it’s led them to the last place they ever thought it could: a happy ending.
SEE! Doesn’t that sound SO good?!
